Seaspiracy Documentary Screening on the occasion of Earth Day

Care Committee invites you to the screening of the documentary “Seaspiracy” for the occasion of Earth Day. This 2021 Netflix documentary, which raised a lot of concerns about industrial fishing and its environmental effects, investigates the causes of ocean life decimation by examining human impacts on marine life, such as plastic marine debris, overfishing and ghost nets around the world.
As the film received both praise for bringing attention to its subject matter but also controversy over its scientific accuracy, the screening of the film will be followed by a discussion on relevant topics as well as a fact-check of some of the documentary’s statements.
