The Middle East Committee proudly presents the long-awaited Arabic Calligraphy Workshop.
The workshop will be taught by our very special guest Faisal AliraQi, an avid calligrapher who’s been conducting workshops in the Netherlands with the aim of introducing different styles of this beautiful art form to people of all ages!
In this workshop, you will learn different calligraphy techniques, with calligraphy being one of the most important Arab art forms. It is well respected and admired for its magical shapes and styles by many.
Knowledge of Arabic is not required, All levels welcome!
This 3 hour workshop consists of an introduction to Arabic Calligraphy and writing out the alphabet with bamboo calligraphy pens. A must for anyone who wants to get acquainted with calligraphy and to experiment with Arabic script!
All materials will be provided (Bamboo calligraphy pens, signs, posters, and special calligraphy paper)
