DESCRIPTION:Care Com  \nAny meeting with a poem carries a certain danger\, as those few lines just may stick with you for the rest of your life. Before you know it\, you’ve got another goal. One you never even knew would suit you. Suddenly boundaries have to be moved\, aspirations realized\, visions expressed\, and dreams chased. Yes\, you need to watch out for those poets. For the first time this year we´ll meet with our bags full of those kinds of astonishing\, hope-inspiring\, rage-inducing\, uniting and disjointing lines. Every poem is a world unto itself. So there’s a lot to discover\, meet\, discuss and celebrate at a chill and relaxed evening after a busy study day. Come and share one of your poems\, spoken words or stories or read your favouite artists piece. If you just come to listen and get inspired don´t forget to bring your own booze!!!  We´ll provide you with snacks!

DESCRIPTION:Are you stressed? \nDo you feel like it is all too much? \nOr do you just want to know more about Mindfulness practices? \nThere are several ways for you to improve your mental health\, well-being and improve your focus. Meditation is one of them. \nThe Care Committee wants to invite you to their first Mindfulness Sessions. We will talk about the Foundations of Mindfulness\, Basic Meditation techniques and subsequently\, we will meditate together under the guidance of our certified Meditation Guide\, Nicole Kadlec. \nThese Meditation Sessions are specifically designed to still and calm the mind and body using a range of techniques for you to take home and continue to practice in your own time. \nThe one-hour session\, commencing at 6pm will include the following: \n~ warming up body and mind with the help of some interactive mindful activities \n~ Seated meditation and instruction on using the Nadi Shodana pranayama breathing technique to clear the mind. \n~ Deep guided meditation lying down in corpse pose to relax the entire body using Yoga Nidra/Yogic Sleep techniques. \nWhat to bring: if you have a yoga mat and/or pillow to sit on (A limited number of mats/pillows will be provided). \nWhat to wear: Something comfortable that is appropriate for the weather and sitting/lying still for approximately 20-30 minutes. \nThis event is for FREE!!!!!! \nRoom [tba.]
