SUMMARY:Diplomacy in Practice
DESCRIPTION:The art of diplomacy is something not to be studied in books but acquired throughout a long process of socialising and experience. As we are situated in the heart of international\, governmental and non-governmental organisations we have the opportunity to learn from professionals in person. „Diplomacy in Practice” is an event which attempts to unify different elements which are crucial to the art of diplomacy.  \nFrank Creations wants to offer students a unique experience: a combination of professional input and networking but also a fun and enjoyable evening.  \nIn collaboration with Career Committee of the student association Bachelor Students of International Studies (BASIS) Leiden University we want to reach out to students studying in the field of International Studies\, International Relations and Political Science. This is a great chance for students and everyone else interested in diplomacy to meet those in the diplomatic field and hear about 30 years of experience.  \nNIEUWSPOORT\nWhere else to hold such an event like this if not at the independent international press centre of the Dutch Parliament itself\, the site of the PM’s weekly press conference. \nGUEST SPEAKERS \nThe highlight of the evening is a talk by his Excellency Jens-Otto Horslund\, Ambassador of Denmark to the Netherlands. \nSPECIAL GUEST \nThe event will also include multiple speakers\, including Jean Paul Wijers\, author of Managing Authentic Relationships and director of the Protocolbureau\, Pancras Pauw organizer of the nationwide well known bitterballen borrels and a man of expierence in the field of entrepeneurship\, as well as entertainment for all those attending. Not only will we have multiple jazz artists\, but we have the entire evening to meet\, greet and have fun with other interested parties. This is the perfect evening to have students and others interested in diplomacy to come together to meet primier personalities\, each other and have a good time.
