Kuntilanak

                            ‘Kuntilanak’

‘Kuntilanak’: During my stay in Indonesia, I learned about Indonesian ghosts and spirits, particularly those originating in Java. One such spirit is the Kuntilanak (called the Pontilanak in Malaysia), the ghost of a woman who has died in childbirth. She seeks to steal the babies of living pregnant women to avenge her loss.
