The South and Southeast Asia committee is looking for a new board member to manage the SSEA facebook page and potentially work with the Samudra (SSEA editorial) facebook page.


This role will include:

Developing a social media strategy with the SSEA committee board.

Creating, publishing and sharing new committee Facebook events on the main BASIS page and sharing these events on the SSEA page.

Working with committee event managers to create eye catching banners to go with event pages on Facebook.

In the lead up to events ensuring that event is promoted sufficiently – sharing the event on other pages, inviting friends to the event, promoting the event among other committees/student organizations.

Sharing other relevant SSEA themed content or anything you believe Basis members would be interested in – eg. news stories, indepence days, other SSEA events organised by other student associations or the SSEA department.

Suggesting potential committee events and partaking in committee board meetings.


Since the main Basis social media platform is facebook it is important than any applicants are well acquainted with this site and understand the importance of sharing material at the right time (when most people are on facebook and giving time between each post).
